PHI opens Royal Palms 4
model units in Panglao

In this generation when time and value for money rates high among one’s options, settling in an environment that is minutes away from everything is one decision that would least likely to regret.

This is the offer Primary Homes Incorporated (PHI) had in mind when it started its Royal Palms Quatro Project, which opened its model units April 30, in Biking Panglao.

With the famed sandy white beaches in tropical landscape well with-in walking distance, Royal Palms is strategically located in a “community that is developed with the resort ambiance in mind,” sums up Romero Espina, PHI Vice President for Sales and Marketing, during the unveiling of model units.

The fourth in the Royal Palm series, Royal Palms Quatro is also built within close proximity with other Royal Palms development in Panglao, and is the 4th of a series build in a decade.

And as a testament of their sturdy and sound design build, Royal Palms units in Bohol have been tough enough to withstand the 2013 earthquake and the recent onslaught of typhoon Odette, which peeled of roofs of nearly a hundred thousand houses in Bohol.

A quality property development product of the region’s multi-awarded home developers in a trio with Primary Structures Corporation, Primary Properties Corporation and Concrete Solutions for their custom concrete mixes, Royal Palms Quatro would be another ace in the sleeves for PHI’s over three decades of developing high quality products.

Already a recipient of international compact home designs that never sacrificed aesthetics with smart lay-out based on customer demands, Royal Palms in Panglao opened its model units to three single detached units standing in at least 120 square meters of lot and a floor area where one can choose from 56 square meters to 87 square meters of compact homes for every consumer needs.

TURRIANO

Royal Palms Quatro opened its model Turriano, a 56 sqm single storey 3-bedroom unit with one toilet and bath, in a design that allows one to keep an eye on a toddler at play in the living room, while attending to kitchen duties.

Ideal for newly-weds, or those who plan to get engaged in the next few years, Royal Palm’s Turriano’s floor layout makes sure that each one in the house would have a private niche to retreat to, one that can also be retrofit into a room of one’s themed choice.

Turriano can be had at P3.1M.

Royal Palm’s Hermoso is a beauty in itself.

A single storey detached unit with an 81 square meter floor area that features a layout that does away with step-ups for those who have the shuffle in their steps, or this is smartly designed for the elderly who lives with the typical Filipino family, the Hermoso is a three-bedroom single floor unit with two toilet and bath provisions, ideal also for a retirement retreat house.

And when it is closer to the beaches, the airport or Bohol’s business hubs, Hermoso settlers are heaped up in options for its extra bedroom for vacationing relatives.

Primary Homes Inc. sells the single-storey Hermoso at P 4.4M onwards.

PALACIOS GRANDE

Owing to its two storey design lay-out, Palacios Grande is another value-for money palatial product that suits the needs of a growing family with a fine taste of the good and comfortable private life.

With three bedrooms occupying the second floor, two bedrooms with balcony provision and a shared toilet and bath on the second floor, Palacios Grande is also equipped with another bedroom in the ground floor and a cute layout that fits an 87 sqm in the ground floor and doubles up with the second floor.

PSA opens CRS
outlet in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, May 6 (PIA) –Boholanos would save to the thousands in costs and hassle, thanks to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) which has opened in Bohol a Civil Registration Service (CRS) outlet at the second floor of the JLU Centre Bloc, Uptown IT Hub, adjacent to the Island City Mall, here.

A dream which PSA Bohol head Jessamyne Anne Alcazaren has been relentlessly working to realize, the outlet would allow Boholanos to get hold of their authenticated civil registry documents in a day or two.

Then, depending on the transaction process, Boholanos can get their authenticated birth certificates or certificates of live birth, marriage certificate or their relative’s death certificate in five days to more than month.

Now, unless one desires for a certificate of no marriage (CENOMAR) which can be had in 24 hours, a Boholano can get hold of his documents in security paper (SECPA) in a day, says Alcazaren, during the opening of the new facility.

The new outlet also eliminates the need for Boholanos to go to Cebu or Dumaguete where CRS Outlets are located.

With boat fares, which can reach a thousand, to food and miscellaneous expenses, not counting at least a day wasted just to personally get their authenticated documents, having a facility that can serve this need in Tagbilaran is already an opportunity to save, hints PSA Assistant Secretary Leo B. Malagar, who was there during the CRS outlet launch.

With Asec. Malagar was Assistant National Statistician Engr. Marizza B. Grande, PSA Regional Director Engr. Ariel E. Florendo and PSA Bohol chief Jessamyne Anne Alcazaren with City mayor John Geesnell Yap II in the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the official opening of the CRS outlet.

Mayor Yap, in his message hailed the PSA for making available in Bohol this frontline service.

He said they have cases of students and athletes asking for financial assistance to travel to Cebu to get their civil registry records.

The newly opened outlet, which caters to clients needing a hard copy of their or their relative’s authenticated Birth Certificates, Certificate of Live Birth, Marriage Certificate, Death Certificate and Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) immediately started its official functions in releasing civil registration and authenticated documents in security paper in the afternoon of May 2, after a fitting opening program and rites.

And in the ongoing threat of the disease, the PSA in Bohol has advanced the information to anyone intending to visit the CRS outlet for a transaction: bring your vaccination card, as this will allow you to get access to the services.

In fact, in a short soon, the CRS would implement an online booking system to limit the number of people waiting for their turns.

On this, Alcazaren said as soon as you have booked and confirmed an appointment, be there as the PSA may not anymore entertain clients with lapsed appointments. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)

With the outlet, Boholanos need not go to Cebu or Dumaguete to claim their civil registry documents as this is already available here. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
Vax coverage still way off
Bohol crawls to 70.67%
vaccine coverage in May

CORTES, Bohol, May 7 (PIA) –A little over a month and the local vaccination rollout against Coronavirus disease (COVID) here has reached 70.67.

The figure however is still way off the 80% vaccination coverage of the master-listed eligible individuals needed for the entire province of Bohol to be deescalated to COVID Alert Level 1.

According to the Bohol Inter-Agency task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (BIATF), fully vaccinated Boholanos have reached 782,661, which is 70.67% of the 1,106,074 Boholanos who are eligible for the vaccines.

The number is 83,337 more Boholanos who have received full protection from the fatal disease that has killed some 681 locals who have been unfortunately unvaccinated or who died before the vaccine was discovered.

Last April 3, 2022, BIATF reported 699,658 fully vaccinated Boholanos by then.

As to those with the initial doses, the multi-agency task force said Bohol vaccination team have inoculated 691,350 at the start of the month.

This month, that figure increased by 20,955 as the BIATF reported 712,305 Boholanos getting the first of possibly many more doses especially when health authorities have also hinted the need for booster doses.

Last April, BIATF said there were 75,635 who were given booster doses.

The number increased by 8,702 because as of May 5, there were already some 84,337 who were given the booster.

In May too, BIATF said some 32 individuals have received their second booster shots, as the new round of boosters stared in late April.

With this, the National Inter Agency task Force (NIATF), during their visit to Bohol to conduct the Roadshow towards the new normal, said that a place would be considered for de-escalation of its Alert Level Warnings as soon as it attains an 80% vaccination coverage, which is also reflective of the 80% of the total senior citizens population.

More than that, the NIATF also said that the place has to have managed and records a very low active COVID cases, as reflected in the low hospital room usage.

Bohol may have passed already the management and low hospital bed utilization, but with blatant disregard to the minimum public health protocols during rallies and political events as well as in fiesta gatherings, it may not be long before the numbers spike again.

Several towns in Bohol have been declared under Alert Level 1.

According to the Department of Health, only when the disease can be declared endemic can communities start to be de-escalated to Alert Level Zero, and a potential for masks-off scenario can happen in the new normal. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
New Clarin Bridge opens
Only for ‘light vehicles’

CORTES, Bohol, May 7, (PIA) – The Department of Public Works and Highways has opened the new Clarin Bridge, the 104 meters Neilsen Arch bridge to light vehicles but asks motorists to continue using the alternate reroute, so as to allow the faster mobilization of heavy equipment working for the full opening of the critical highway link.

In a statement issued May 6, DPWH-7 said light vehicles specifically motorcycles, cars, vans, sports utility vehicles may now pass the new bridge which reopened the motorists’ shorter access to Tagbilaran and Loay.

The reopening of the new link came nine days after the old Clarin Bridge collapsed due to overloading in the later afternoon of April 27, 2022.

The collapsed bridge also sent at least 15 vehicles plunging into the Loboc River section in Loay, killed four and injured several victims.

32 individuals however survived the catastrophe.

The tragic collapse of the old Clarin Bridge added to the agony of motorists who have to add nearly 10 kilometers of travel going to Tagbilaran City via the alternate route in Loboc to Sikatuna, Corella and the city.

The bridge opening to light vehicles, according to the DPWH Advisory, would also implement a one-lane traffic scheme, and advises motorists to drive slowly and follow traffic road signs.

The implementation of the single lane in alternate director of the traffic would also allow the DPWH and the contractor to continue spreading and compacting the embankment at bridge approaches.

The public infrastructure agency said that embankment materials have to be well compacted for the safety of motorists.

A loosely compacted embankment can cave in and ruin the approaches, adding more back-jobs.

Even then, DPWH said with the concerned Contractor, they at the Bohol District Engineering Offices, the Regional Office and various local contractors are working vigorously for the site to be ready for passage to vehicles at the soonest possible time.

District Engineer Magiting Cruz has already instructed all concerned personnel to work double time, all equipment in full force, and prepare for bridge opening.

As the one-lane traffic was implemented with proper traffic management scheme and complete traffic signages, DPWH authorities still ask motorists to continue using the alternate routes and refrain from unnecessarily heading to the bridge to facilitate heavy equipment mobilization.

As this went on, salvage operations on the ill-fated vehicles involved in the bridge collapse continued.

Last May 2, salvage divers retrieved the cab body of an L300 with Plate #GJZ 568.

This was the same cab where survivors Bonifacio Mipana and Gemma Dela Cruz of Bingag, Dauis rode on that day of the incident. The attested that the L300 cab separated from the chassis when they fell into the river.

The same cab body has been linked to what previous divers described to as a Bongo, but was a chassis of the L300, as evidenced by the chassis which still bore the same place number.

This also proved that there were really no more missing persons as the reported Bongo driver turned out to be the L300 chassis, Loay Mayor Hilario Ayuban shared in his social media account. (rahc/PIA_7/Bohol)
OPENED FOR LIGHT VEHICLES. The new Neilsen Arch Bridge being constructed parallel to the fallen Clarin bridge is now open to light vehicles but the DPWH has asked motorists to continue using the alternate route skirting away from the flurry of construction activities to expedite its completion.
