NAPOLCOM-7 to launch National
Crime Prevention Week in Bohol
TAGBILARAN CITY, August 30 (PIA)--The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Region 7 Office has chosen the Province of Bohol as the venue for the launching of the National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW).
This year's theme is "Mamamayang Mapagmasid, Kapayapaan ang Maihahatid.”
The activity will kick-off tomorrow, August 31 with a holy mass at the St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral at 7:15 a.m.
This will be followed by a parade from the St. Joseph Cathedral going to the Bohol Cultural Center to be participated by government employees from the different government offices in the province.
A simple yet fitting program will follow at the Bohol Cultural Center with Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, Secretary Michael Lloyd Dino as the guest speaker.
NCPW is celebrated every first week of September of every year in pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 461 signed on August 31, 1994.
The weeklong celebration aims to promote crime prevention and community public safety with the support and involvement of every citizen. (ecb/PIA7-Bohol)
