Civil Service Bohol exam
slots almost filled - CSC

TAGBILARAN CITY, May 24 (PIA)—A little over two hundred applicants and Civil Service Commission Bohol (CSC) Field Office Bohol (FO Bohol) would be fully filling the available slots and would close the applications for the August 12, 2018 CS Examination Paper and Pencil Test (CSE PPT) for both professional and sub professional levels.

CSC Bohol Information Officer Liezl del Rosario said for the CSC PPT, FO-BOHOL is allocated only 75 rooms, for a total of 1,875 examinees, and as of May 23, only 253 slots remained open.

While the deadline for applications is set on June 2 as yet, applications may be closed earlier than the deadline if the field offices have achieved the target number of applicants as per room allocations, according to the CSC.

To date, we have received 1,622 applications, so there are 253 slots available as of 4PM, posted del Rosario at the group account of the Association of United Development Information Officers (AUDIO) in Bohol.

Along this, the CSC Bohol FO is still accepting applications which must be personally filed from 8:00 to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday, CSC remineded.

Those who can avail of the examinations are Filipino citizen, at least 18 years old, and of good moral character, no criminal record, or has not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude.

The applicant should not have been dishonorably discharged from military service, or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government and has not taken the same level of career service examination within three (3) months from the last examination taken.

Applicants need to submit a fully accomplished application form (CS Form No. 100 Revised November 2012).

The spaces for “Signature of Applicant” and “Right Thumbmark” on the form should be left blank, however as the CSC processor needs to see this personally accomplished.

The application form should also include four (4) copies of colored Philippine passport-sized identical pictures taken in white background printed on good quality photo paper in standard close-up shot (from shoulder level up with the head and face occupying at least 80% of the picture and with the name tag position at approximately 1 inch or 2.54 cm below the chin).

Photos should be in bare face (with no eyeglasses or any accessories that may cover the facial features), showing left and right ears, taken in full-face view directly facing the camera, with neutral facial expression and both eyes open and a full and handwritten (not computer-generated) name tag in the format: First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, and Extension Name, and signature over printed name.

The photo submitted must not be later than 3 months prior to filing of application.

Applicants also need to submit an original and photocopy of any valid ID containing applicant’s clear picture, date of birth, signature, and signature of the authorized head of the issuing agency or Police Clearance, and IDs lacking information, like applicant’s date of birth, should be supported by Birth Certificate issued/authenticated by the National Statistics Office (NSO) or Local Civil Registrar (LCR).

According to the CSC, the CSE-PPT aims to set up a Register of Eligibles (RoE) from which certification and appointment to first and second level positions in the civil service.

The RoE can be a reference for employment in the private sector, CSC added. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
