PSA needing workers for
’18 family income survey
TAGBILARAN CITY, May 12 (PIA)—Jobless and seeking employment? Try this.
Responding to its mandate, the Philippine Statistics Authority is conducting the 2018 Family Income and expenditures Survey (FIES) and is in need of project-based personnel who would be generating and managing the responses into a comprehensible data.
According to Bohol Statistics Officer Jessamyne Anne Alcazaren, they would need for the survey some 51 enumerators, 5 reserve enumerators, 5 team supervisors, 8 manual processors and 4 data encoders who would be forming the PSA support team in the survey.
Eligible as applicants, according to the PSA are those who have accomplished two years of college education, willing to undergo training, willing to work away from home, physically fit to walk long distances during enumeration and female applicants must not be pregnant.
PSA Information Officer Emmanuel Galab also added that the would also need people who have presentable personality, friendly, courteous and has the capacity to quickly establish good rapport with the respondents, can speak the main dialect but must also be able to understand English to comprehend the training materials.
As much as possible, applicants must be residents of any municipality where the sample barangays or enumeration are located and finally, they must pass the written examination to be administered prior to the training proper, Galab said.
Applicants then must pass an accomplished application letter addressed to Jessamyne Anne C. Alcazaren, Provvincial Statistics Officer, 3 floor Galeria Luisa, Gallares Street, Tagbilaran City and submitted not later than May 25, 2018 during office hours.
Aside from the application letter, applicants also need to submit an accomplished personal data sheet or a resume with a recent identification picture, Transcript of Records or Certificate of Grades and a Certificate of Work Experience if there are any.
Those who can pass the written exams need to pass the interview set May 29-30, according to the PSA. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
