City Mayor inducts AUDIO-Bohol 2019-2020 officers 

TAGBILARAN CITY, March 20 (PIA)--The City Mayor of Tagbilaran inducts the new officers of the Association of United Development Information Officers in Bohol (AUDIO-Bohol) as it has changed its guards by during the organization's general assembly meeting and ‘Bisita Opisina’ hosted by the City Government of Tagbilaran. 

At the helm is Fiel Angeli Gabin, who is the information officer of the City Government of Tagbilaran, as the new president of the AUDIO-Bohol, an organization composed of information officers of the municipalities and national government agencies (NGA) based here. 

No less than Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II swore into office the new AUDIO-Bohol officers during a simple ceremony held March 14, 2019 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall at the Tagbilaran City Hall. 

The newly inducted officers were: Gabin as President; Nicolas Sendrijas of LGU-Calape as Vice President for LGUs; Liezl Del Rosario of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) as Vice President for NGAs; Marichu Cua of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) as Secretary; Elvie Bongosia of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) as Assistant Secretary; Rosario Chatto of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as Treasurer; Jojeline Ruiz of LGU-Trinidad as Assistant Treasurer; Gualberto Jaspe of LGU-Pilar as Auditor; Bruce Eric Zabala of the Bohol Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) as the 1st District Press Relations Officer; Mirasol Intong of LGU-Buenavista as the 2nd District PR Officer; and Maria Christina Jumao-as of LGU-Jagna as the 3rd District PR Officer. 

The organization is under the guidance of the PIA-Bohol headed by Information Center Manager Rey Anthony Chiu. 

“Rest assured that my presence here would be indicative enough of my 105% support to the presidency of Gabin as the new president of AUDIO-Bohol,” the dynamic mayor said during the oath-taking ceremonies. 

Yap pointed out in his short message that the role of the information officers is vital to the visitors and to the boom of [our] tourism as we are expecting 3 million tourists next year. 

The city mayor took the opportunity to invite the group to the Saulog Festival 2019 which was launched last March 16. 

He also invited the group to visit the newly opened tourist attraction in the city which is the Capt. Francisco Salazar Monument in Barangay Ubujan.
