Free Nipongo classes open at
BISU for aspiring care-givers
CORTES, Bohol, Feb 1 (PIA)—Wishing to work abroad, but does not have the funds to get there? Here is a golden opportunity.
A partnership between Bohol Island State University (BISU) College of Business and Arts (CBA) and a Japanese University, is now opening its second batch of Nipongo For Me, a free Japanese language course intended for aspiring care givers for Japan, announces BISU information Officer Bernarda VIllarojo during the recent Kapihan sa PIA.
Nipongo for Me, a 150-hour session of teaching Japanese language by no less than Japanese instructors is intended to equip local caregivers the capacity to understand, and comprehend basic Japanese enough to pass the skill tests and be rated N4 to be good enough to be sent for further studies and training in Japan before getting into a home care program, added CBA’s Joy Sofia Olaivar, at the same radio forum aired live over DyTR.
In partnership with Aoike University in Japan, the free Japanese course set at the Aoike classroom at BISU CBA, will open up its classes for 20 slots, with classes starting from 6 PM to 9 PM.
This is also incidentally the time when workers get out of work and would be very providential for people wanting to find some more preoccupations, BISU authorities commented.
The opening up of the classes this year follows the graduation of the pioneering batch of 10 learner caregiver graduates, of which 6 are now on their final stages for their flight to Japan, reports Olaivar.
Opened for females between 18-25, proficient in English and college level or Senior High School graduates’ holder of national certification in caregiving, the free Japanese Class is among the extension services of the school’s CBA and this year, we are perpetuating this as a tribute to the late Dr. Paul Sandigan, who worked to realize the program at BISU, Villarojo continued.
We can also accept males on very, very special cases, Japanese Instructor at the BISU however added.
Dr. Sandigan died recently at a young age.
While the next batch will only accept 20 student learners, BISU authorities assured that those who would be interested and apply would be put in the priority list for the next batch, Olaivar added.
So it would not matter much if there as many applicants, they will have their slots, if not in this batch, then it will be in the next batches.
Application forms are now available at the BISU, for those interested.
