GCQ extended in
Bohol until June 30
TAGBILARAN CITY, June 15 (PIA) -- Gov. Arthur Yap has extended the general community quarantine (GCQ) period in the province of Bohol until June 30, 2020.
The governor signed Executive Order No. 31 on June 12 but was released on June 14.
The new EO will take effect on June 16, 2020.
In the EO, the following will remain in effect: the minimum health standards, the general curfew from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., one household pass policy, the home quarantine on senior citizens and minors, the regulated operation of business establishments, partial liquor ban, and among others.
However, the EO also allows the dine-in operations of restaurants, fast food chains, and similar establishments where diners are limited to 30 percent of the establishment's seating capacity.
Moreover, church services are limited to the venue’s 25 percent seating capacity, while celebration of fiestas shall continue to be held on a private level.
On June 14, the public celebration of masses finally resumed in Catholic churches in Bohol, after nearly three months after the government imposed the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The number of recorded COVID-19 cases in Bohol has surged to ten after having only four cases recorded in the previous five months.
Yap reported that four locally stranded individuals (LSIs) tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday and two health workers were also found out to be infected with the disease on Friday last week. (ecb/PIA7-Bohol)
