New COVID 19 cases dip
to single digit since Sept
TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Nov 5 (PIA) –For the second time, new coronavirus disease (COVID cases in Bohol dipped to single digit November 5, when Bohol health authorities tacked only nine new cases detected since the last three months.
The first one happened last October 25 when there were only 3 new cases detected in Bohol.
In the last 33 days too, the figure of the new cases detected in Bohol went below the 100 count, as Bohol continues to show a sustaining development in its fight against the viral disease.
It may be noted that last September 5, or three months ago, Bohol has 237 new cases detected for the day.
Two months ago, the figure was 237, 183 cases lesser than the one tallied a month later.
Last month, October 5, there were only 54 new cases listed on the day, already a very significant reduction from the earlier figures.
November 5, Bohol only detected 9 new cases, a continuing milestone as Bohol struggles to put COVID off the local health threats.
As to the active cases, Bohol also attained a very encouraging trend.
For one, last September 5, Bohol listed 2,038 active COVID-19 cases. A month later, the figure slid to 1309, or 779 cases less than the month earlier.
By November 5, the cases of active COVID in Bohol now reached 208, some 1101 cases less than the previous month.
As to deaths, the figures also improved with less and lesser Boholanos dying, as Bohol Inter Agency Task Force noted in its report dated November 5.
In September 5, 2021, the death tally due to COVID has reached 305, a year and a couple of months after Bohol closed its borders for COVOD to keep off the island.
By October 5, some 180 deaths were added to the tally, bringing the total deaths count to 485.
This month, Bohol still observes some 76 deaths less during last three months. BIATF showed that deaths due to COVID in Bohol only reached 651 deaths
Another shining hope glimmers as the recovery rate against COVID in Bohol sustained its momentum from Septembre 3.
As to recovery rates: on September 5, the recovery rate listed in Bohol was 83% which also means 83 of every 100 COVID patients in Bohol will certainly recover.
By October 5, the recovery rate stepped into the 90% threshold, meaning 90- of every 100 with COVID recovers.
In November, the figure has even shown promising results, from 90%, recovery is now even going up to 96%(rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
