15 million assorted aid for
Boholanos at HNP 25

SIKATUNA, Bohol, (PIA)—In a single day, the government dispensed some P15 million in cash and checks and still an undetermined value of government frontline services for the 2025 Handog ng Pangulo (HNP) Serbisyo Caravan held in Sikatuna, Bohol, September 13.

Set in time for the 68th birthday of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the HNP gathered national government agencies bringing to Sikatuna and Boholano residents key frontline services that are otherwise hand to access, considering time and distance to the offices.

Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado called on Boholanos to grab the opportunity of getting the free services even as he hinted that the Service Caravan is Bohol’s contribution to the national agenda of quick service delivery.

Event keynote speaker Department of Education Undersecretary for Government relations stressed the critical importance of bringing the government services to the people, adding that, in the country, no family should be left behind.

As DepED launched its EduKahon project, Usec Olaivar also handed out 200 boxes of educational aids to teachers in both Bohol and the City Divisions.

The Provincial Government of Bohol and HNP convenor for Bohol dispensed a total of P10.3 million in livelihood assistance and prizes for the 2025 Sandugo Streetdancing winning local government units while the Department of Trade and Industry in Bohol handed some P2 million worth of loans from SB Corporation for 35 micro, small and medium enterprises in Candijay.

Bohol, through its Center for Culture and Arts Development of the Office of the Governor handed out P4.9 million in cash prizes to LGU contingent winners in the 2025 Sandugo street dancing festival competitions.

Through its Barangay Local Development Funds, Bohol released some P2.7 million livelihood assistance for fish cage project in Barangay Mocaboc Island, in Tubigon, Bohol.

The Office of the Governor’s Local Governance Administration also handed out P2 million for a project identified by Poblacion in Sikatuna and another P400 K for Barangay Cambuac.

The Provincial Community development Office of the other hand released P384K livelihood assistance for Barangay Del Carmen in Balilihan, and P270K for a livelihood project in Canangcaan, Corella.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) through its Special Area for Agricultural Development also released a total of P1.-6 M in the 20 heads of cattle to four people’s organizations.

Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of the DA also handed out Certificates of Award to two SIkatuna Barangays the amount of P514K for tilapia culture while the Department of Labor and Employment dished out P400 K worth of livelihood assistance to organizations.

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority also released certificates of scholarships and Training Support Funds to 2 training providers of 100 scholars, all worth P401K.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development also released a total of P280K for the second round of its Sustainable Livelihood Program as expansion capital to 28 initial beneficiaries who showed they can be trusted with managing the government help.

These went to Sikatuna and Panglao beneficiaries, according to Social Welfare and Development Officer Jimmy Crusio.

DSWD also announced a project turn-over of its Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services in projects in Bien Unido.

The DA also distributed 1,000 ten kilo bags of Benteng Bigas, a homegorwn Bohol rice grown by local farmers.

NON CASH ASSISTANCE

Other national government agencies joining the HNP SerbisyoCaravan are the Department of Health which gave out 20 wheel chairs, ten walkers and information education communication materials, while the Department of Agrarian Reform distributed Certificates of Condonation and Release of Mortgage to 15 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources also distributed land titles to NIA Areas in Cabidian Mabini and Los Angeles Ubay, supplementing it with land survey, titles, chainsaw registration and permit to transport lumber services including distribution of fruit tree and hardwood tree seedlings and bamboo for small reforestations.

The Department of Interior and Local Government put its legal aid booth accepting consultations on Katarungang Pambarangay and questions on resolutions and ordinances.

Philippine Health Insurance Corporation also opened their Yakap registration, ID release, and Konsulta Registration, while a team from the Armed Force of the Philippines gave out free haircut services.

Capitol’s Office of the Provincial Agriculturist gave out fruit, vegetables seedlings and tipalia fingerlings, while the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian and partner Bohol Dairy Cooperative handed free milk drinks.

The Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development also handed out food packs, while the Provincial Health Office Medical Outreach Unit gave out free medical and dental services as well as consultations.

Bohol Employment Placement Office announced its annual CPG Jobs fair on November 8 while Bohol Economic Development and Investment promotions Office and its Negosyo Center rendered free business counselling services.

The Education Development Center of the office of the governor capped the event by distributing 261 school bags to Sikatuna Central Elem school pupils. (PIAbohol)
