DILG directs LGUS to
activate EOC, eDORMS

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, (PIA)—A day before typhoon #UwanPH gathers more punch to become a supertyphoon, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Bohol directs local chief executives to activate their Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) and electronic-Disaster Online Reporting and Monitoring System (e-DORMS).

DILG Bohol Provincial Director John Joan Mende, in a letter to Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado said this should ensure LGU adherence to minimum critical preparedness actions based on the Operation LISTO Disaster Preparedness Manual for typhoons.

The directive also activates the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Councils while enjoining all Punong Barangays to implement the prescribed barangay preparedness actions using the Listo si KAP preparedness guide in carrying out preparedness actions for barangays.

Listo si Kap or the DILG Memorandum Circular 2025-035, designated the Barangay Development Council as the Local Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Committee (LDRRMC).

Listo si Kap also details tasks of the BDRRMCs for prevention and mitigation, preparations for both earlya and critical, tasks for disaster response, tasks for recovery and rehabilitation.

On the other hand, the Disaster Online Reporting and Monitoring System (DORMS), now enhanced with the E-DORMS, is a crucial DILG tool in streamlining the reporting and monitoring of disaster events, ensuring timely data submission and situational reports.

The system is designed to enhance LGU preparedness monitoring and is part of the Operation LISTO protocols.

The E-DORMS allows for automatic consolidation of reports from field offices, enabling faster decision-making and public advisories. (PIAbohol)
