DTI-Bohol opens 12th Negosyo
Center in Inabanga
INABANGA, BOHOL, Oct. 10 (PIA)--Economic boom gets an additional leverage in this town as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bohol Provincial Office on Monday opened its 12th Negosyo Center located at the Inabanga Municipal Hall Compound in barangay Poblacion of this town.
This center is a collaboration between the DTI, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SMEDs), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Agriculture (DA) and the local government of Inabanga.
During the launching program held at the Inabanga gym, DTI-7 Regional Director Asteria Caberte said that the center will offer business advisory services, business name processing for 15 minutes, will cater to business meetings, trainings and seminars for the business sector in Inabanga and nearby municipalities.
The center is mandated by Republic Act Number 10644 or the “Go Negosyo Act” to make it easier for Filipinos to register and start up their businesses, as well as gain access to sources of financing.
In Bohol, the existing Negosyo Centers are inside the DTI Bohol Office, at the Capitol BIPC, in Loon, Talibon, Ubay, Tubigon, Carmen, Jagna, Loboc, Sevilla and Panglao.
In her message, Caberte thanked Team Inabanga for allocating the lot for the center and lauded the successful launching of the center.
"Congratulations Inabanga, I know that Inabanga is very specific in branding and that branding is a symbol of your strength and unity," Caberte said.
With the new center, both Caberte and Mayor Jumamoy, who gladly accepted the facility, urged Inabangnons to make use of the new hub, even as both assured that the government is relentless in making investments in the town easy and hassle-free.
Jumamoy thanked everybody especially the DTI, who serves as a bridge in fulfilling their dream of having their own Negosyo Center for the Inabangnon businessmen.
The mayor, in behalf of Team Inabanga also thanked Caberte for the 2-day old good news she revealed that DTI will now implement the livelihood sector under the Integrated Natural Resources and Environmental Management Project (INREMP)-DENR where the town of Inabanga is one of the 4 beneficiary in the entire country.
The signing of the MOA between Team Inabanga, DTI, DOST, DILG, DA and TESDA ended the program and this was followed by the ribbon-cutting and blessing of the new Negosyo Center Inabanga.
Also present during the launching were DTI-Bohol OIC Provincial Director Jose Hibaya, Mr. Ariel Lungay representing Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto, Mr. Donglee Camacho representing Bohol 2nd District Congressman Aris Aumentado, Mrs. Wency Gama representing DA-7 Regional Technical Director for Operations Marina Hermoso, Mrs. Meann Aparece-Verga representing DILG-Bohol Provincial Director Ma. Louisella Lucino, MSMED-Co Chair Engr. Albert Uy, Inabanga barangay captains, DepEd Administrators & entrepreneurs of the 50 barangays in the nearby towns. (ecb/PIA7-Bohol)
