Tagbilaran City Gov’t requires
CCTVs in all establishments
TAGBILARAN CITY, Oct. 12 (PIA)--The City Government of Tagbilaran requires all its business establishments to install closed-circuit television (CCTV).
City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II reiterated his call recently to all business establishment owners in the city.
In the implementing rules and regulations, it mandates that business establishments who are employing more than 20 employees and with 50 sq.m. work premises should be installed with a CCTV.
Further, if an establishment is not covered with the above-mentioned criteria but their daily business transactions is not less than P100,000.00 and if they operate beyond 8'o clock in the evening, they are also required to have a CCTV.

LED early warning devices
TAGBILARAN CITY, Oct. 12 (PIA)--The City Government of Tagbilaran installs seven LED-backlight LCD television (LED-TVs) in major strategic areas in this city.
A first of its kind in Bohol, this early warning is a major element of disaster risk reduction.
But to be effective, these LED early warning devices need to actively involve the communities at risk, facilitate public education and awareness of risks, effectively disseminate alerts, and warnings and ensure there is constant state of preparedness.
The City Government of Tagbilaran has seen its importance as City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II hopes to reduce the impact of hazards such as floods, storms and the like through a consistent information-dissemination.
The seven LED-TVs are installed at the Tagbilaran City Hall, Tagbilaran Port Area Tagbilaran City Square, Causeway area, Manga Market and in barangays San Isidro, and Bool.
A LED display is a flat panel display which uses an array of light-emitting diodes as pixels for a video display. Their brightness allows them to be used outdoors where they are visible in the sun store signs and billboards, and in recent years they have also become commonly used in destination signs on public transport vehicles.
