Bohol’s top 10 priority dev’t
projects for 2018, bared
TAGBILARAN CITY, January 5 (PIA)--Gov. Edgar Chatto bared Bohol’s top ten priority development projects for 2018.
During this morning’s debut broadcast for 2018 of ‘Kita Ug Ang Gobernador’ held at Cafe Caloy, Chatto named the following projects:
First in line is the turnover of the New Bohol Panglao International Airport this coming June 2018 and its operation scheduled on August 2018.
Next in line is the completion of the New Provincial Capitol Building and the subsequent expansion of its road sections that lead to the New Capitol.
Also in line is the opening of the Bohol branch of the National Museum, the former Provincial Capitol slated on July 22, 2018, which falls on the 164th Bohol Day celebration.
The other projects include the groundbreaking of the P90-M Bohol Youth Home in Cortes town; competitive bidding for One Bohol Power and Bulk water supply project; initial work for the Tagbilaran City-Panglao Island Connector Bridge; construction of the Bohol Drug Rehabilitation Center near the Bohol Youth Home as part of Community Based Drug Rehabilitation Project Without Walls (CBRP WOW); hospital modernization-budget for health services, improvement of facilities and referral system;
groundbreaking of the Central Bank of the Philippines; and the launching of Bohol as the Dairy Capital of the Philippines.
Aside from the priority projects mentioned, Chatto also bared the following priority programs for this year which includes: the construction of New Cong. Natalie P. Castillo Hospital in Loon town; start of the construction of the New Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital; new PDRRM operations center and TaRSIER117 command center; rehabilitation of the CPG Sports Complex; PRDP road projects, as well as I-REAP and other livelihood projects.
Also in line are the construction of Agri-Fishery Terminals in strategic locations; tourism roads, CMGP (Kalsada Program) road projects, ROLL-IT road projects; strengthening the Bohol Investment Promotions Center and fully operationalizing the BILC II for macro investments; CPG Park Development Project and full operation of the Bohol Biodiversity Ecotourism Park; and opening of the Business Process Outsourcing and Knowledge Process Outsourcing for more jobs.
While also in the pipeline are the Bohol Business Park Development, Groundbreaking for the NECEBOLEY PPP Project- bridge projects connecting Visayas island provinces, and the Integrated Port Development in Dauis town. (ecb/PIA7-Bohol)
