DSWD-7 corrects wrong info about
ongoing field validation & 5Ps
TAGBILARAN CITY, Mayo 22 (PIA)--The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Central Visayas has corrected wrong information being circulated regarding the field validation for the implementation of the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) program.
The Information Officer of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program said that they received claims that households that have undergone the field validation are automatically included in the 4Ps.
During the monthly meeting of the Association of United Development Information Officers in Bohol (AUDIO-Bohol) hosted by DSWD-7 last Mayo 10 at the Panda Tea Garden Suites, Kerwin Macopia said that other speculations claim that the validation is part of a new program, the 5Ps.
Macopia clarified that there is no memorandum lifting the moratorium on the expansion of 4Ps, and that there is no 5Ps program as reported.
The ongoing field validation is exclusively for the three-year UCT program that is intended to provide cash grants to 10 million poor households, according to Macopia.
Under the UCT program, beneficiaries will receive a P200 monthly subsidy for 2018 and P300 monthly subsidy for the years 2019 and 2020 to help them in their daily living in the midst of the increasing prices of goods and services as a result of the recently implemented TRAIN Law. (ecb/PIA7-Bohol).
4Ps Information Officer, Kerwin Macopia corrected the wrong information being circulated regarding the ongoing field validation & regarding the so-called 5Ps program during the 5th General Assembly Meeting of AUDIO-Bohol hosted by DSWD-7 on May 10, 2018 at Panda Tea Garden Suites in Tagbilaran City.
