14-day quarantine re-imposed
for OFWs, ROFs arriving in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, April 19 (PIA) -- The Provincial Government of Bohol have re-imposed the 14-day mandatory quarantine for arriving Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) upon their arrival in their localities due to the increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.

Base on Executive Order No. 24 signed by Gov. Arthur Yap on April 16, 2021, Boholanos arriving in the province are required to go on quarantine in designated quarantine facilities, including hotels and pension houses.

The E.O. took effect immediately upon signing by the governor.

However, the E.O. stipulates that if the returning Boholano has undergone quarantine in Metro Manila or in any port of entry, the days they spend on quarantine upon arrival shall be credited and they shall only be required to undergo the remaining days of quarantine in their localities to complete the required 14 days.

Local government units can likewise allow home quarantine as long as there is a separate room with its own restroom.

The OFW and ROF shall also be monitored by the local health authorities during the mandatory quarantine.

The new E.O. was signed by the governor after the Department of Interior and Local Government issued an advisory on March 31, 2021 advising local chief executives to review their local quarantine protocols for OFWs and ROFs to ensure the mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival in their localities.
