Downtrend in COVID 
cases in Bohol continues

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, July 28 (PIA) – The number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) active cases in Bohol continued its downward trend in a span of one week.

On July 22, the Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (BIATF EID) recorded 1,249 active cases of COVID-19 in Bohol.

In its 12:00 noon report, the BIATF also posted 7,519 recoveries from the 8,890 total cumulative cases for the day, or an 84.7% recovery rate for the baseline week.

By July 23, the surge in cases went down to 970.

The day’s cumulative number of cases has reached 9,142, but the BIATF said 8,015 of these have recovered, with an 87.67% recovery rate during that day.

On July 24, the active COVID-19 cases continued its downward with 859, or 111 cases less in a day.

With 9,163 cumulative number of cases all over Bohol since last year, 8,143 have recovered with an 88.86% recovery rate.

On July 25, the total number of active COVID-19 cases in Bohol continued to drop with 821 active COVID-19 cases for the day.

That day also recorded 8,202 cumulative cases for the day as recovered.

By 9:00 a.m. of July 26, BIATF reported 842 active cases, with cumulative cases at 9,261 of which 8,251 have recovered, for a recovery rate of 89.09%.

On July 27, the active cases in Bohol continued to drop with only 729 cases, or 113 cases less than the day before.

The cumulative count of the day increased to 9,285, but the day’s recovery cases also reached 8,373, with a recovery rate of 90.17%.

On July 28, the active cases dipped to 584, or 665 cases less than what the BIATF reported a week ago.

The day’s cumulative count of active cases reached 9,289 but the recoveries also hit 8,520 for a recovery rate of 91.72%. (RAHC/PIA7 Bohol)
