Bohol leads in CV ‘SAP’
payout implementation
CORTES, Bohol, May 9 (PIA)—With 58 percent pf its local government units done in its Special Amelioration Program (SAP) pay-outs, Bohol leads Central Visayas provinces in getting the public health emergency cash assistance to its low income families as incorporated in the Bayanihal To Heal as One Act.
In its SAP implementation update for non 4Ps dated May 8, 12:00 noon, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Region 7, as tasked to implement the SAP, said 28 of 48 towns and a city in Bohol have completed the distribution of the P6,000 assistance to families in distress caused by the coronavirus disease medical emergency.
According to the report shared by DSWD 7 regional information officer Leah Quintana, at 58%, 164, 271 Boholanos have received a total of 985, 626,000.00 of the 1,090,260,000.00 as the government’s allocation for Bohol’s low income families.
The government disbursed amount constitutes 90.40 percent of the total allocation for Bohol, the DSWD-shared documents show.
In fact, in the DSWD-7’s List of 58 Top Performing LGUS in SAP implementation, 28 Bohol towns populate the top ranked performing LGUS in Central Visayas.
Among Bohol towns in the list are Pilar with 3119 beneficieries, Loboc (2610), Loay (2671), Dimiao (2059) and San Isidro sits at the 6th through the 10th of the regions’a best SAP implementers.
Trinidad town with 3,859 beneficiaries sits at 7th place while Getafe (2970) and Sagbayan 8th with 2847 beneficiaries sits on the 16th and 17th places.
24th on the list is Alburquerque with 1770 beneficiaries, while Balilihan (2593), Sikatuna (1083), Clarin (2722), Dagohoy, (1880), Duero (2465) and Guindulman are on the 28th rank to 33rd.
Sierra Bullones (3400) sits on the region’s 35th list while Antequera (2295), President Carlos P. Garcia (2203), Anda (2250) and Carmen (5632) occupies the 37th to 40th rank on the regional list.
Candijay (3576), Corella (1402) and Danao (1920) occupy the 45th to 47th rank while Calape (4168), Catigbian (3104), San Miguel (2968), Talibon (8288) and Batuan (1731) are on the 50th to 54th in the list.
On this, DSWD expects that full distribution of the SAP would be completed by Sunday, May 10, as the Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año has announced no more extensions in the deadline for the distribution of the government’s cash assistance to poor families.
It may be recalled that the deadline of the pay-out was suppoesed to be on May 7, but local officials have asked for an extension so they could complete the handing of the SAP to qualified beneficiaries.
DILG also said there will be no more extensions and those who could not finish by Sunday would be asked to show cause.
At this, in the region, the DSWD-7 has already paid out P 4.2 billion of the P6.3 billion which it is supposed to hand out to 1,058,075 family beneficiaries.
As of noontime of May 8, the DSWD 7 has accomplished 66.27 percent in the payout of the entire amount to be flooded to the region in such a time when the poor have sought help in this medical health emergency.
