Afraid of opening an account?
Open bank account online
via LandBank PISO PLUS
TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol March 7 (PIA) – Intimidated and afraid or fearing ridicule for starting to open a bank account too late?
This is a way through that, with Landbank PISO PLUS Account, according to Landbank of the Philippines City Hall Branhc manager Liezel Manilhig, during the recent Kapihan sa PIA.
Landbank PISO PLUS Account is the bank’s newest product, a basic deposit account designed to help people who have not had any bank account eversince, which can be opened online, via Landbank’s mobile banking app, the lady manager explained.
This differs from the regular bank account is that this account does not need an initial deposit and maintaining balance to open an account and keep it active.
For land bank’s regular Automated Teller Account, a P500.00 initial and maintaining balance must be kept to keep at all times so the account can not be charged with a service fee, she added.
And because the PISO PLUS account is a basic account, and to encourage people with meager income, there is no amount required to open and maintain, the account however is limited to less than P50,000.
When that happens, then the account can be converted to a regular account and start maintaining a P500.00 maintaining balance, with the proof that one has kept a good account and has now the capacity to keep the savings.
“So bisan pa og wala pa siya’y balance, pananglit kanang naghuwat pa siya og naay extra nga matigum, dili siya mahimong inactive.” (So even if he does not have any balance at all, like he is still waiting for an extra savings, the account does not go inactive), she shared over the program streamed over the PIA Bohol you tube and facebook channels and aired over DyTR Friday at 4:00-5:00 PM.
For those who despise facing a banker and exposing too late one’s belated savings consciousness, Manilhig shares that all one needs to do is download Landbank’s Mobile Banking App, where he can get into the link where new accounts are opened.
“It’s so easy, that if one knows how to open a facebook account, he can easily understand and get to opening an account,” she said.
The account is an improvement of the Landbank PISO Account, where one only needs one peso to open an account, and this was improved and just launched during the LandBank Caravan in President Carlos P. Garcia.
While this is an online and does not need for the account holder to personally go to the bank, they would be given a virtual Landbank Debit Visa Card, with a card number.
Using this account’s virtual card, even if they do not hold a physical card, they can already use Landbank’s digital banking services like fund transfers, bills payments, e commerce transactions and cardless withdrawal through the Landbank Mobile Banking App.
And while keeping an online virtual card can be enough, for those who wish to get a physical bank card, all they need to do is get a physical card after paying P150.00, according to Manilhig.
The new product is also LandBank’s fore-fronting efforts to expand digital and financial inclusivity, in line with the government’s dream of allowing a more expansive savings base from the grassroots.
“I am so proud with Landbank, as it invested in technology to expand and bring its services to the communities,” Manilhig ended. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
