DSWD recognizes LGUs’ innovation, 
good practices in implementing 4Ps

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol (PIA) — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 7 recognized local government units (LGUs) for their innovation and good practices in addressing gaps in their locality during the local chief executives consultation dialogue for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Bohol on July 5.

“Through this 4Ps Consultation Dialogue, we increase our understanding of the program, address problems about the program implementation, and agree on actionable points to improve our services to our 4Ps beneficiaries,” said DSWD-7 regional director Shalaine Marie S. Lucero.

“We will also recognize local government units for their innovation and good practices in addressing gaps in their locality, which are replicable in other LGUs,” Lucero added.

The awardees for LGUs with ordinances and resolutions in support to 4Ps include Alburquerque, Alicia, Anda, Antequera, Baclayon, Balilihan, Batuan, Bien Unido, Bilar, Buenavista, Calape, Candijay, Carmen, Catigbian, Clarin, Corella, Cortes, Dagohoy, Danao, Dauis, Dimiao, Duero, Garcia Hernandez, Getafe, Guindulman, Inabanga, Jagna, Lila, Loay, Loboc, Loon, Mabini, Maribojoc, Panglao, Pilar, Carlos P. Garcia, Sagbayan, San Isidro, San Miguel, Sevilla, Sierra Bullones, Sikatuna, Tagbilaran City, Talibon, Trinidad, Tubigon, Ubay, and Valencia.

Recognized for implementing Joint Memorandum Circulars (JMC) are the towns of Getafe, Loay, Loboc, Loon, Tubigon and Valencia.

In the field of education, DSWD recognized the municipalities of Bilar, Catigbian, Bien Unido, Panglao, Candijay, Garcia Hernandez, Batuan, Lila, Alburquerque and Baclayon.

Recognized for the highest compliance rate in health are the municipalities of Alburquerque, Batuan, Danao, Dauis, Garcia Hernandez, Lila, Anda, Getafe, Pilar, and Panglao.

The LGUs with exemplary performance in resolving Gender-based Violence are Anda, Bien Unido, Panglao, and Valencia.

The municipality of Batuan was recognized for its Best Family Development Session (FDS) implementation, municipality of Valencia as best LGU with Best Youth Development Session (YDS) implementation, and the municipality of Getafe with Approved Ordinance against Cash Card Pawning.

Recognized with most self-sufficient households are the municipalities of Trinidad, Panglao, San Miguel, Dimiao, Cortes, Mabini, Batuan, Garcia Hernandez, Lila, Jagna, Sierra Bullones, Loay, Candijay, Tubigon, Loboc, Antequera, Tagbilaran City, Corella, Sevilla, Sikatuna, and Pilar.

The towns of Antequera, Balilihan, Bien Unido, Candijay, Garcia Hernandez, Getafe, Loay, Loboc, Loon, Pilar, Carlos P. Garcia, Tagbilaran City, Talibon and Valencia were recognized with Impactful Saulog.

Recognized with Best Convergence are the municipalities of Loon and Loboc. (ECB/PIA7-Bohol)
