TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol (PIA) — The entry of a leading Transportation Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) in the province is expected to improve the transport services and enhance the tourism industry in Bohol.
Grab Philippines officially launched its services in Bohol on Dec. 16, marking a significant milestone for the province as the country’s first and only UNESCO Global Geopark.
Bohol Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado highlighted Grab’s role in supporting sustainable growth and the province’s Strategic Change Agenda, aiming to position Bohol as a premier tourist destination and thriving business hub.
“As we continue our efforts to make Bohol a premier destination for tourists and a leading business hub for investors, it is vital that we partner with Grab in providing world-class services to everyone,” Aumentado said.
The governor emphasized the importance of Grab for tourists and local commuters.
“It is crucial that we have access to technology that allows anyone – especially tourists and commuters – to access the best options when it comes to safe and affordable transportation, food and package delivery, and even financial services,” Aumentado added.
The official launching introduced GrabCar, GrabFood, and GrabExpress to enhance mobility and food and parcel delivery services for locals and tourists.
Currently operating in Tagbilaran, Dauis, and Panglao, Grab plans to expand with GrabTrike soon.
“We are a platform that just really connects different stakeholders. As we grow, we hope to provide more opportunities for these everyday entrepreneurs,” said Grab Philippines country head Ronald Roda.
Vice President for Cities Cj Lacsican also shared that their goal is to provide rides that are not just affordable and convenient, but also safe and transparent.
