ANDA Bohol (PIA)—Ikaw, ako Tayo, samasamang pagkilos para sa Batang Malaya of the Blue Team bags the best poster in the World Day Against Child Labor as the government advances its campaign on Child Labor Prevention and Elimination in this resort town east of Bohol.
The poster, a neat depiction of children holding hands with parents and partner government agencies bested other entries, including three Philippine-flag themed entries, purportedly for the national celebration for the day
The event, which picked Bata’ng Malaya also coincides with the 128th anniversary of the Philippine Independence.
Meanwhile, Green Team packed the prizes for winning over 5 other teams in the same activity which also came with Information and Service Caravan inside Anda Cultural Center.
The day, which had lectures, keynote messages including a video-taped recording of Secretary Francis Tolentino, and DOLE regional Director Roy Buenafe, whose message was read by Bohol labor employment officer Atty. Reina Rachel Pestillos.
As the day’s activity centered on the children, DOLE came up with a poster making and cheering contest, apart from turn-over of school supplies and kiddie kits to the 100 identified children of the town who have been profiled to be in risky environment for child labor or kids in child labor vulnerable situations.
Parent Maria, 28 years old of Sitio Tinugdan, Almaria, reechoed her learning, during the day-long activity.

The afternoon activity also had Larong Pinoy as highlight.
These included a well participated sack race of 5 teams, and coconut shell karang race, which the kids enjoyed. (PIAbohol)
BAGS OF GOODIES, SCHOOL SUPPLIES. Anda kids who have been identified at the risk of child labor, gathered inside Anda Cultural Center for the World Day Against Child Labor, where the Regional Committee Against Child Labor and the DOLE gave information and conducted activities to spread awareness on child labor, with Batang Malaya as theme for the day.
