PSA seeks enumerators 
for FIES January survey 

QUEZON CITY, December 5 (PIA)--To generate information on the levels of living and the gap in incomes of Filipino families and their spending patterns, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Bohol would soon be sending out teams for the new season of Family Income and Expenditures Survey (FIES) for the opening quarter of 2019. 

Now accepting applications on a project based employment, the PSA requires applicants with at least two years of college degree, willing to be trained, can work away from home, andnis physically fit to walk over long distances during the survey duration. 

Over this, women applicants ahould not be pregnant. 

Applicants must also have pleasing personality, presentable, friendly, courteous and keeps a quick ability to develop and adopt good rapport to respondents. 

Moreover, applicants must be able to speak the dialect but can understand English to properly carry out the survey instructions. 

Finally, applicants must be residents of the area where the survey is set, according to the PSA. 

Applicants must then submit application letters, send an accomplished data sheet and resume with the most recent Identification picture, transcript of records or certification of grades and a certificate of work experience, if there are any. 

The FIES enumeration is conducted twice - this one upcoming woukd be covering the second semester of 2018- from July to December as reference period. 

Another round is set in July to cover the first semester January to June. 

Both surveys use the same set of questions. 

And for that, PSA in Bohol would need enumerators, team supervisors, manual processors and data encoders for the survey in early 2019. 

FIES is a triennial nationwide survey of households to extract data on family income and expenditure, which include levels of consumption by item of expenditure as well as sources of income in cash and in kind. 

FIES provides information on the levels of living and disparities in income of Filipino families, as well as their spending patterns. Submit applications to PSA Bohol, 2nd floor, Galeria Luisa Tagbilaran City within this week. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
